The USAW/Cliff Keen Southeast Regional Championships will be held on May 27-29, 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia.

This event will include Kids, Cadet, and Junior Divisions. There will also be PeeWee and Girls Festivals.

AWC is excited to announce the opening of our Oak Mountain campus. The Oak Mountain Campus will provide great training opportunites for wrestlers in the Birmingham Metro area. Coach John Blakely will be leading practices at this location. Come and join us on May 14th for our opening!

AWC New Coaching Staff Additions

With the addition of more campuses, AWC has added three of its most accomplished wrestlers to its already outstanding staff. Alabama Wrestling Club head coach, Rod Gaddy, would like to announce the hiring of three new coaches that joined the staff Sunday, February 7th. “We are very excited about the potential these young coaches will bring to the AWC family and the help they will provide to our wrestlers in making them the best they can be”, obviously their accolades speak for themselves. They are some of the most decorated wrestlers in the history of Alabama.” says coach Rod.

John Blakely
John Blakely is a recent graduate of Appalachian State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Building Science and Construction Management. John also wrestled at Appalachian State and was a NCAA Division 1 Letterman, and was on the 2012 Southern Conference Championship Team. In John’s high school wrestling career he was a 3-time Alabama State Placer and 2009 Alabama State Champion.
Tanner Moon
Tanner Moon is a recent graduate of Auburn University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Materials Science and Engineering. Tanner has achieved many accomplishments in the classroom as well as on the mat. Tanner’s career record was 151-22, and he was a 4-time Fargo All-American and NHSCA All-American. He was a 3-time Alabama State Finalist (103,112, 119). Tanner was the No. 1 ranked wrestler in Alabama among all classes by www.alabamawrestling.net and the recipient of the Dave Schultz Award, which is only given to one person in each state based on academic and athletic performance. Tanner also likes to volunteer his time to the Save Our Sandlots where he mentors young high school students to help them achieve their goals and live their dreams.
